Well, freak-a-doodle-doo

Since just before the holidays I’ve had a problem with my left hand getting really cold all the time. However, it was mostly limited to when I was in the office, so I chalked it up to the crazy airflow in my cube and thought no more about it (except to mutter about the uncertain parentage of facilities techs who can’t be bothered to turn on the heat in our building, perhaps). I will admit that during the same period, my lower back has been achy as well, but I did a lot of standing on stone floors for rehearsals for the last concert series. A couple of chiro adjustments (and a notch-up of the back exercises) later and I am feeling much better on that score…

The bad part comes in over the last week or so — my left foot now keeps getting cold, mostly in the tops of the toes. I thought it was again just happening at work (see freak airflow problem) but unless I am just psyching myself out, it was happening as I sat on the sofa last night. This could mean a couple of things — but I am afraid that it may mean my back is courting disaster again.  Sigh.  Well, at least I recognize the danger signs now – but I guess that still doesn’t excuse me from going to the doctor to make certain (and to find out if alternative treatment is needed).
