Oy. Yesterday I did a ‘light’ workout, including a boxing routine – all told about 20 minutes worth. I thought the yoga and stretches before and after were adequate… In fact, I only kept it light because I’d been out of town for most of a week and my exercise then was just a lot of walking (and I do mean a LOT).
By yesterday evening my shoulder muscles were all extremely sore (and at first I couldn’t figure out why!) and today I can barely extend my arms fully without wincing. I did manage to get another 15-minute workout in today – this time only yoga and strength exercises without the aerobic component – but I may regret it later.
Ah well – I’ve a goal of 5 lbs in two weeks to lose, and I’d like to lose at least 50 by my birthday. That gives me about 23 weeks (and finally getting off this stupid plateau), which may be a little ambitious…but what’s life without a little ambition?
